Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
Romans 15:7
When you walk through our doors, you can expect to find a community that welcomes you just as you are. We follow an order of service in which we share, sing, pray, and grow in Christ together. Our services are a place for all people to come together in worship, prayer, and fellowship, no matter your background, beliefs, or where you are on your spiritual journey. Whether you're a life-long church goer, you're looking for a new church home, or simply curious, we invite you to join us and experience the unconditional love and grace of God.
Our services are a blend of timeless tradition and a warm, community feel. Each Sunday, we gather together to share in a worship experience that includes singing classic hymns, engaging in prayer, and hearing a message that's rooted in the United Methodist faith.
As you arrive, you'll receive a worship bulletin that will guide you through the service, so you'll always know what's coming next. Feel free to participate in whatever way feels most comfortable to you—whether that's joining in the singing and prayer, or simply taking a quiet moment for reflection. We look forward to sharing this time with you!
Our service is held every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. in our main sanctuary. We can't wait to see you there!
Our main church parking lot is located on the west side of the building, and we also have plenty of street parking available on Lafayette Avenue (to the north) and Missouri Avenue (to the east). No matter where you park, you'll find a welcoming entrance nearby.
If you're coming from the street, you can enter directly through the main doors on Lafayette Avenue. If you park in our lot, just come through the west entrance, and you'll find the sanctuary right inside, past the staircase. We'll be ready to greet you!
Feel free to come as you are! We don't have a dress code, but we do appreciate attire that is comfortable and shows respect for our shared worship space.
Children are a vital and cherished part of our community, and they are always welcome in our worship service! We know that it's important for children to feel at home in God's house, so we've created a few ways for them to be involved.
Upon arrival, we have activity bags to help our youngest worshippers engage with the service. During the service, we have a special Children's Time, where our pastor shares a message just for them. After that, kids are invited to join us for Children's Church—a fun and age-appropriate time of learning and fellowship while the sermon is being delivered in the sanctuary. Of course, children are always welcome to stay with their families for the entire service.
We love the joyful energy children bring to our church, and we believe they are a core part of our faith community!
You absolutely do not! We are a community that welcomes everyone, regardless of their past experiences with church. We aim to make our service accessible and meaningful for both lifelong members and those who may be attending for the very first time, or for the first time in a long time. There's no need to worry about knowing special practices or traditions—just come as you are, and we'll be glad to have you.
The music in our worship service is designed to be a blend of the familiar and the new, to uplift and inspire. We sing from both The United Methodist Hymnal and The Faith We Sing, which means our services are filled with a rich mix of classic hymns, gospel songs, and some contemporary pieces. You'll hear everything from powerful, traditional melodies to more modern songs of praise. We invite everyone to join in the singing as we make a joyful noise together!
Yes, we do! We believe that the communion table is God's table, not ours. Because of this, Holy Communion is open to everyone, no matter who you are or where you are on your spiritual journey. We celebrate this special sacrament on the first Sunday of every month. We invite all who are present and who wish to do so to come and receive this gift of grace.
After our worship service concludes, the fellowship and community continue! We warmly invite you to join us downstairs in Fellowship Hall for coffee, refreshments, and a chance to get to know one another. It's a wonderful opportunity to build relationships and connect with others in our church family. We'd love for you to stay and chat!
