Seek and promote opportunities to serve those in need in our urban core community. Work with local housing projects such as the Solomon Project and Habitat for Humanity. Collect mittens, gloves, hats and socks for children at Kingdom House and Sigel Elementary School.
Coordinate and schedule volunteers to prepare and serve dinner at The Bridge first Monday of each month. Promote a Cold Weather Coat Drive for adults at The Bridge.

This team travels outside of the St. Louis area to help those in need. Past projects have included building housing for Operation Hogar in Mexico, and providing hurricane relief in New Orleans. Sponsor fundraisers such as the Cajun Dinner to raise money for New Orleans.
Lafayette Park United Methodist Church has had a covenant partnership with Catembe UMC in Mozambique since October 2004. In 2006 the congregation started building a house of worship.
